Visualization of Distributions
Using the daily COVID-19 cases data starting in February 2020 to March 2023, the distribution of total COVID-19 cases in each continent is compared using histograms. Then, box plots provided a clear and easy-to-read visualization of the distribution of COVID-19 cases per million people by continent, allowing for easy comparison of the number of cases across continents. It also shows the variability of the data within each continent and highlights any outliers. Each box in the plot represents the distribution of COVID-19 cases per million people for a single continent. The box extends from the lower quartile to the upper quartile of the data, with a vertical line inside the box at the median.
